Current open positions: Some of our career positions include: Project Engineer A project engineer provides the administrative and technical services that relate to many of the items that will ensure the timely completion of a project. These include scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration. In certain instances, a project engineer may have responsibility for the total project; in others, he or she may be assigned to a particular section, a subcontractor, or other facets of a project. Senior Project Manager A senior project manager oversees the entirety of a project, having the authority to make decisions on Atkinson's behalf about such items as cost and schedule. He or she serves as the company's point of contact both with the client and with the general public. A senior project manager also takes part in selecting project staff and ensuring that the entire team works together efficiently to complete the project on time and on budget. Superintendent A superintendent is the principal company representative at the project site. An employee in this role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective placement of the contracted work. He or she is charged with supervising all of the work in the field, whether it is a subcontractor performing a certain task or Atkinson in a self-performing role. The superintendent's duties also include implementing and enforcing policies relating to safety and quality control. Safety Manager A safety manager takes the lead when planning, implementing, and improving the safety procedures on projects. A safety manager works with field personnel and supervisors to ensure that not only are procedures being followed, but that Atkinson's culture of safety is maintained at all times.
