Lakewood Triangle Access/156th Street Overcrossing

Lakewood Triangle Access/156th Street Overcrossing is a new two-lane, three-span bridge constructed over I-5 to connect segments of 156th Street NE on both the east and west sides of the freeway. Additionally, a connector roadway was established from 156th Street NE to Twin Lakes Avenue, presenting an effective solution to address longstanding traffic congestion issues around the Lakewood Crossing Shopping Center.

Specific elements of the work included building new city streets, temporary erosion and sediment control, stormwater and infiltration systems, sanitary sewers, water mains, grading and paving, property restoration and landscaping, traffic signal and illumination systems, channelization, sidewalks and curb ramps, signing, traffic control, drilled shaft foundations, precast pre-stressed concrete girders, cast-in-place concrete, MSE retaining walls, coordination with local utility companies for private utility relocations, and other work.
