Description
Atkinson has joined with their parent company, Clark Construction Group, in a joint venture with the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. as the successful proposer on the Dulles Airport West APM Tunnels and Station project.
The project is for the construction of the Automated People Mover tunnels on the west side of Washington Dulles Airport. It includes approximately 1900 lf of twin tunnels constructed by NATM tunneling methods, 1200 lf of twin box tunnels constructed by cut-and-cover techniques, and 600 lf of excavation for a future people mover station.
