Leeville Shafts
The project consists of the excavation of a 22 ft. diameter finished x 1,900 ft. concrete lined production shaft for a new gold ore body. The project also includes the construction of a 20 ft. diameter finished x 1,650 ft. concrete lined ventilation / exhaust shaft.
The scope of the work entails sinking plant set ups for both shafts, set up of temporary facilities, head frame and collar installations (including structural steel), cover and contact grouting, supply and installation of water rings, construction load out pockets, conveyor gallery, supply and installation of ventilation, and various station excavations (including electrical room, ramp and waste and ore bins). The planned ramp is scheduled to drift on a 1,450 ft. long x 15 ft. horseshoe and will connect to two levels of the new mine.
