Atkinson Takes Home First Place AGC Safety Excellence Award

Atkinson, along with Clark Construction Group, received a first place Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America Willis Safety Excellence Award for their commitment to safety. Clark earned honors in the Building division and Atkinson in the Highway and Transportation division.

 

Preliminary judging for the national awards focused on the company's management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and safety program innovation. After being selected as finalists, safety personnel from Atkinson and Clark traveled to the AGC's Annual Convention to present in front of the AGC Safety and Health Committee. The companies were honored during the Willis Safety Awards Breakfast on March 8 and received the award from Paul Becker, President of Willis Group Holdings and Joe Jarboe, AGC President and Clark Senior Vice President.
