Atkinson Wins the Cow Camp Road Phase 2 Project

Rancho Mission Viejo - Rancho Mission Viejo Development has awarded Atkinson a $35 million contract for the Cow Camp Road Phase 2 project in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA. Atkinson will build a new road within Rancho Mission Viejo, a new community in San Juan Capistrano. The project team will construct the grading, roadway, retaining walls, sidewalks, and curb and gutters, along with dry utility installation, drainage improvements, water and sewer improvements, signing, striping, and landscaping. As part of the project, the team will also construct the largest bridge in Orange County. The team will build the 1,350-linear-foot, cast-in-place box girder bridge, 54 feet in the air over the undeveloped valley. The cast-in-drilled-hole bridge piling foundations will be 14-foot diameter and up to 135 feet deep. Project completion is scheduled for January 2020.
