Little did I know that my journey would be deeply rooted in the realm of construction." he said.
Bob's dedication extends beyond project execution; he has also served on committees for the Associated General Contractors of America, Washington State Department of Transportation, and Sound Transit. These experiences have enriched his journey, and he takes pride in contributing to the industry's advancement.
Reflecting on his early career and entry into construction, Bob shared, "Back then, I was drawn to the challenge of developing specialized mechanical equipment for hydroelectric dams. Atkinson, with its reputation for excellence, presented an opportunity that perfectly aligned with my goals.
Bob emphasized Atkinson's people-centric culture as the key factor he appreciates the most. "It really is all about the people. The enduring commitment to excellence and safety ingrained in the work culture, the sense of camaraderie, and shared determination within the Atkinson team have made my journey truly rewarding and fulfilling. He credits mentors, colleagues, and family for shaping his leadership style.
For aspiring individuals entering the construction industry, Bob offered valuable advice: "Cultivate a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, embrace a strong work ethic, and seek out opportunities to learn from experienced professionals."
