The project involves the development of a historic underground gold mine in Alaska, including the rehabilitation of existing workings and the construction of new access drifts and drill stations to reach multiple ore bodies. Key infrastructure upgrades include the installation of air-powered systems, water intake, and discharge lines. Work includes enlarging a 700-foot drift, addressing a known fault zone, and excavating new heading drifts and drill stations totaling 4,200 feet to access the Lucky Shot Ore Deposit, along with a new 5,000-foot spiral incline ramp and additional drill stations for the Coleman Ore Deposit. Excavation is primarily done through drill-and-shoot and mechanical methods, with ground support using bolting, welded wire fabric, and shotcrete as needed. The project also includes options for further development and production mining after completing the development work for both ore bodies.
