The Uh1 Shaft project involved the construction of a 20-foot-diameter shaft, reaching a depth of 1,045 feet, at the Nevada Test Site near Las Vegas. The scope of work included the provision and installation of the sinking plant, the construction of a 1,055-foot concrete-lined access and ventilation shaft, the development of a shaft station at a depth of 976 feet, and the construction of a loading pocket at the station.
